Ignite a life-long love of music 

Lil’ Rockers is a group music class for children in Kindergarten and Year 1 that will ignite a musical passion in our little ones, giving them the fundamental musical skills needed for a life-long love of music. Amongst the excited laughs, smiles and high-fives, there will be singing, drumming, playing ukulele and glockenspiel, dancing and working in a team. Without even knowing it, our Lil’ Rockers will start to develop essential musical skills needed for learning an instrument in Lil’ Bandmates.

Why group lessons?
Lil’ Rockers is the beginning of the journey for our students. Students in Kindy and Year 1 learn the best in a group setting and are generally not ready for one-on-one tuition. These joy-filled classes will arm our youngest students with the skills they need for music artistry lessons later on.

What will our children learn?
They will learn how to play in time, how to strum a ukulele, what the notes look and sound like, how to sing with others, how to work in a team, how it feels when you are part of a band, how to perform on a stage, learn self-confidence, how to raise your voice and how wonderful this all feels! Our Lil’ Rockers program follows in the values of the Bec Taylor School, namely that we are passionate about connecting our students to the modern music industry.

Who will teach them?
Our Lil Rockers team will be nurtured through a combination of group playing, singing, theory, and teamwork. Students will learn basic drumming, ukulele, singing and music theory.
